In this webinar, Laura Jarvis and Julia Pugh will speak about managing menopause post-treatment using non-hormonal approaches. Within the topic, our speakers will talk about:

Dr Laura Jarvis is a Specialty Doctor in Tayside’s Sexual and Reproductive Health service. Since 2008 Laura has developed a special interest in sexual problems and she gained her membership of the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine in 2015. Laura has a weekly NHS Sexual problem clinic, she trains other health care professionals in psychosexual medicine and is clinical lead for the sexual problem service. Laura’s second area of interest is menopause care. She is recognised as a menopause specialist by the British Menopause Society and has a weekly NHS menopause clinic in Tayside. 

Julia Pugh is an oncology advanced Nurse practitioner working in Manchester. Julia is an experienced practitioner working in NHS and private health care, and education. Julia is passionate about training other clinicians to talk about the important topic of sexual wellbeing and support them to develop their skills and confidence to address this area of care for their patients. In her role as therapist, Julia specialises in supporting people and couples affected by cancer and other long term health conditions. Julia uses a diverse range of tools in therapy with individuals and couples including psychodynamic, psychoanalytical and behavioural approaches. Julia is involved in research related to sex and cancer and is regularly invited to speak at national and international meetings to patients and clinicians about her experiences.

Once Laura and Julia have spoken, we will open the session to questions. As with all our sessions, there is no obligation to participate.
