Could you help more people to learn the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer?

Every year in the UK 7,000 people are diagnosed with ovarian cancer.  Many may have had symptoms for months but dismissed them as digestive problems or signs of the menopause or getting older.  Most people are diagnosed when their cancer has spread, but earlier stage diagnosis can improve outcomes.

Getting Ovacome’s straightforward message about the signs and symptoms to anyone born with ovaries is vital and many of our supporters distribute our B.E.A.T. campaign materials to places they visit and people they meet.

B is for bloating that doesn’t come and go

E is for eating difficulty and feeling full more quickly

A is for abdominal and pelvic pain you feel most days

T is for toilet changes in urination or bowel habits

We can provide you with free awareness materials including posters, leafets and wallet cards, as well as teal ribbons. Please let us know quantities and your postal address.

It can be a great idea to hand some leaflets and posters to your local GP surgery, or to display them in your library or local shops! You can share our handy little symptom wallet cards with your friends and family.

If you want to help to get our message across – that symptom awareness can mean better health outcomes for women – then fill in our short order form below to receive posters, flyers and wallet cards. Join the team of Ovacome awareness-raisers.
